We’ve created an L&D Expert Assistant Chatbot, now available on our L&D Expert Assistant page. This has been specifically tuned to help the L&D organization solve problems like creating new product courseware, updating existing courseware, building case studies, creating role plays, and more – almost instantly. Although it doesn't have your courses and inside knowledge in its database, you can simulate it in this demonstration sandbox.
What can the L&D Expert Assistant Chatbot help you do?
Here are some of the things we’ve been testing out as a prelude to helping our customers fine tune the chatbot even further with their own courseware. In this generalized sandbox mode, you’ll have to use the ‘pretend’ command like I talked about in last week's post to come up with a more ‘generic’ prompt. But when you fine tune the chatbot by uploading your own courseware to our private and secure servers, you’ll be able to streamline the chatbot’s use. Until then, we’ve created a 3-step series of demo prompts that you can use to see how the chatbot works. The first step includes the pretend prompt so you can use it as a guide to test your own courseware example. All you have to do is to click on the three prompts in sequence to see how it works. They'll appear inside the chatbot interface window. Try it!
What are we hoping to help L&D teams achieve? There are a plethora of problems that we all share in common. In fact, we've implemented 14 common tasks in the tuning architecture of this demo chatbot. Here are a couple of our shared problems:
New Product Courseware Development
One of the problems most L&D departments struggle with is creating courseware when they launch a new product or a major product revision. It's not like teaching a 'vanilla' course on leadership skills. When you have your own customized chatbot, you’ll be able to upload new product engineering documents and similar references to the chatbot. Using that knowledge, the chatbot can then quickly create course outlines, lesson plans, facilitator guides, and much more. It’ll put you 80-90% of the way there, greatly speeding your team’s reaction time.
Updating Existing Courseware
One of the most "mind-numbing" chores we all face is updating and maintaining existing courseware. Again, when you have your own customized chatbot, you be able to upload change documents, style guides, or new branding instructions to make the proposed changes. Just like you do now in manual mode. Along with the existing course, you can turn the chatbot loose on doing those updates for you. Your job will be to review the new course to make sure it accomplishes your goals.
Building Case Studies
This is another difficult task that we all face to ensure that students are able to take the information we’re trying to impart and convert that knowledge into the ‘wisdom’ we want them to utilize going forward by working on a well-constructed case study. That’s another simple task that an L&D chatbot can handle quickly. You can try that in the our demo sandbox.
Role Plays
One of the best ways to drive new knowledge home is through the use of role plays. Whether you’re dealing with training a sales team on how to overcome objections or showing customer support personnel how to help a customer through a problem they’ve called on, the chatbot can quickly give you the exercises and sample scripts to test out.

Final Thoughts
We’re hoping that this webinar will help to demystify AI and let L&D professionals focus on the gains that can be made by utilizing AI to enhance their department. My personal belief is that AI isn't eliminating jobs. It's just like every other technological advance since the beginning of time: people who embrace and learn AI will replace those who won't.
