Joe DiDonato: Ron, can you tell us a couple of things about your background?
Ron Ateshian: Sure, Joe. I've been working as a Fractional Learning Leader helping companies transform their organizations by helping them create training solutions and customer education initiatives that affect the bottom line. Together, my clients and I have a great track record of building high-performing teams, achieving cost efficiencies, and consistently exceeding KPIs. My expertise lies in helping my clients align learning solutions to real-world challenges, leveraging process and technology to maximize impact to the business. I'm an experienced strategist and advisor that can help clients navigate complex learning ecosystems to deliver tangible results. My passion as of late is working with AI to help clients transform their L&D operations.
Joe DiDonato: Thanks, Ron. How do you see AI transforming the landscape of Learning and Development?
Ron Ateshian: AI is a game-changer for L&D. It enables us to create personalized learning experiences, automate repetitive tasks, and provide data-driven insights. This not only improves the effectiveness of training programs but also allows us to scale our efforts and reach a larger audience with tailored content. I see companies using AI to analyze employee skill gaps, augment rapid design, build personalized learning paths, and a host of other things that I know we'll cover in our upcoming webinar.
Joe DiDonato: Can you share an example of a successful AI implementation in your organization?
Ron Ateshian: Absolutely. One of our most successful projects was the development of an AI-powered learning analytics platform. This platform analyzes learner data to identify patterns and trends, helping us to continuously improve our training programs. The insights gained have led to a 20% increase in learner engagement and a significant improvement in knowledge retention.
Joe DiDonato: What are some of the challenges you faced while integrating AI into your L&D programs?
Ron Ateshian: One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data used to train our AI models. We had to invest a lot of time in data cleaning and validation. Another challenge was managing the change within the organization. It required a lot of communication and training to help our team understand and embrace the new technology.
Joe DiDonato: What do you wish you would have known before you started your first AI implementation in a Learning and Development organization?
Ron Ateshian: I wish I had known the importance of having a clear strategy and roadmap from the beginning. AI implementation can be complex and having a well-defined plan helps in managing expectations and resources effectively. Additionally, starting with smaller pilot projects and gradually scaling up would have allowed us to learn and adapt more efficiently.
